May 14, 2025: the 2025 World Triathlon Cup took place in the city of Chengdu, China. The competition brought together elite athletes from all over the world.
Rather surprisingly, Taganrog-born contestant Valentina Riasova, who had served a two-year suspension, won the gold medal with her time of 01:53:22. Roksana Slupek from Poland got the silver, and Sara Guerrero Manso from Spain received her bronze.
"I come back today, and I am so happy. This is my first World Cup gold medal, I am so happy," said the winner.
