February 26, 2025: Taganrog authorities have signed an agreement with the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Center for the Development of Public Transport Systems" to develop the city's trolleybus network. This was announced by the city executive Svetlana Kambulova.

"In particular, the development of the city's trolleybus system includes measures for the acquisition of new rolling stock and the modernization of the trolleybus infrastructure," the statement reads.


The agreement provides for the renewal of the rolling stock and the modernization of the trolleybus system's infrastructure. This will improve passenger transportation comfort and convenience while making urban transport more environmentally friendly and efficient.

Another key aspect of the project is the introduction of modern IT solutions into the public transport system. Plans include implementing technologies that will help optimize traffic management and improve the accuracy of the transportation schedule.

It is worth noting that in February 2025, the authorities of Taganrog stated that bus transport operations did not meet regulatory standards. One of the proposed solutions is the acquisition of new rolling stock for the municipal enterprise "TTU." Additionally, negotiations are ongoing with transport operators from other municipalities, including the Rostov region, regarding the provision of transport services within Taganrog.

The modernization of the trolleybus system and the development of IT infrastructure for public transport will enhance the quality of passenger transportation, making urban transport more convenient and modern.
