December 21, 2021: Taganrog continues the implementation of its urban revitalisation program. In parallel with the modernization of the streetcar system and the improvement works of such public areas as North Square Garden, Taganrog's Tercentenary Park and historic "Oak Grove" (Dubki), federal program "Clear Sky" was launched this month.

The latter focuses on replacement of overhead cables and wires with underground cables. The corresponding works started in Taganrog's historic downtown area.


During her visit in Rostov Oblast in September 2021, Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko reported that the first 100 million roubles were provided for the implementation of "Clear Sky" in Taganrog.

Earlier the working group on Taganrog's urban revitalisation program, formed within the Federation Council, discussed financing of renovation of Taganrog streetcar system, suggestions for the promotion of the urban tourism infrastructure, reconstruction and beautification works.
