May 19, 2022: Foreign Relations Officer of Taganrog Local Government Alexander Mirgorodsky represented Taganrog (in the remote mode) at the International Business Forum BREST 2022, which was held the city of Brest, Republic of Belarus.

The Forum is an annual event, attended by Belarus senior officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps and official delegations from all over the world. It aims to help the participants to facilitate mutual contacts, support business negotiations, and share the experience in various fields of activity. This year, the main topic of the Forum is "Investments, Innovations and International Cooperation".

In his presentation, Foreign Relations Officer Alexander Mirgorodsky spoke about the main enterprises of the city and mentioned Taganrog's historical background. Particular emphasis was made on integrated development of Taganrog as a tourist destination. In this context, Alexander Mirgorodsky described the roadmap for Taganrog's urban revitalization program. It covers such activities as, for example, reconstruction and maintenance of municipal streetcar system and Pushkin Embankment renovation and the events dedicated to Peter the Great's 350th birth anniversary.

In conclusion, Alexander Mirgorodsky thanked the organizers of the Forum, stressing the importance of relationships with Byelorussia and mentioned the plans to sign a sistercity agreement with the city of Pinsk later in 2022.
