June 28, 2023: the concluding press conference on the results of "Taganrog - the IT Capital of Russia" project took place yesterday, on June 27. It kicked off in September 2022 with the support of Presidential Grants Fund.

Since then, over 1,200 school students from 24 municipalities of Rostov Oblast have visited Taganrog - in particular, its largest tech companies and Academy of Engineering and Technology of Southern Federal University. The students learned more about training opportunities and career prospects in the field of information technology.


Taganrog City Manager Andrey Fateyev thanked the organizers of "Taganrog - the IT Capital of Russia" for the excellent concept and successful implementation of such a tremendous project. He expressed the hope that the work will yield positive results, and new top-level professionals, who are capable of being useful in any innovation activities, will grow up in Russia.

Earlier, Taganrog Local Government and Specialized Endowment Fund "IT: Science and Education" signed a cooperation agreement to create new opportunities for Taganrog's IT sector.
