August 2, 2023: the interregional sailing competition Taganrog Bay Cup was held in the water area of Taganrog Bay on July 27 - August 2. Over 100 athletes from Donetsk People's Republic, Krasnodar Krai, Moscow, Rostov Oblast, Saint Petersburg, Samara Oblast, Sevastopol, Volgograd Oblast, Voronezh Oblast competed in such classes as the 420, the Cadet, the Finn, the Laser 4.7, the Laser Radial, the Luch, the Luch Mini, the Luch Radial, the Optimist, and the Zoom 8.
Trainees of Taganrog's Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 3 and other representatives of Taganrog achieved positive results by winning five medals:
Alexander Rozhnenko - gold in men's Finn;
Vadim Poberezhny - gold in men's Laser Radial;
Denis Plotnikov and Denis Tokar - silver in men's Cadet;
Alexey Marchevsky - bronze in men's Finn;
Artyom Okhremenko - bronze in men's Laser Radial.
