October 23, 2025: a literary and documentary exhibition dedicated to Belarusian writers who participated in the Great Patriotic War (World War II), has been unveiled to the public at the Chekhov Gymnasium, part of the Taganrog Group of Museums (TGLIAMZ).
The State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature (the city of Minsk, Belarus) and TGLIAMZ organized the exhibition in accordance with their agreement on joint projects signed several years ago. The two museums also provided the exhibit items for "In Blood of the Heart." These integrating efforts emphasize the shared memory of the Soviet people's heroism in their struggle against Nazi Germany and its satellites.
The exhibition focuses on the lives and work of Belarusian writers during the Great Patriotic War. The title "In Blood of the Heart" is taken from a namesake poetry collection of that time.
At the beginning of the opening ceremony, Director of the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature Sergey Usik delivered a welcome speech in his video message. Director of TGLIAMZ Yelizaveta Lipovenko and Chairperson of the Russian Language and Literature Subdepartment of the Taganrog Chekhov Teachers College Tatyana Subbotina were the speakers of the event as well.
Taganrog's Belarusian Community contributed several books to the exhibition and arranged for several performances that enhanced the opening ceremony.
The exhibition can be seen Tueday to Sunday, from 10 AM to 6 PM. Venue: the Chekhov Gymnasium, Ulitsa Oktyabrskaya 9.
