September 5, 2022: lines of renewed route 4 and temporary (modified) route 9 begin their service in Taganrog to Connect Taganrog's Western District to Downtown and Northern District. The modified route 9 will be cancelled as soon as regular routes 8 and 9 are fully available once again.


On the eve of the 324th anniversary of the city's foundation and the finish of the streetcar infrastructure modernization, Alexander Stepanov, a teacher of Taganrog Municipal School No. 31, broke the All-Russian record for towage of chained streetcars. He shifted two chained streetcars 1.55 m from their initial position in 47 seconds, while climbing a horizontal ladder. The streetcars weighted over 48 metric tons.


The event was co-organized by "Sinara" at a section of Ulitsa Karla Liebknechta between Pereulok Ukrainsky and Pereulok Dobrolyubovsky.

Route 3 and route 2 were launched earlier as a part of the first phase of Taganrog streetcar system's renovation. Besides, "Sinara" improved the open-air dance pavilion in Taganrog's Gorky Park in August 2021. During the promotional service period of two day all rides will be free.
