December 5, 2024: the roundtable discussion entitled "Special Aspects of Business Operations Across Borders" was held at the College of Economic, Environmental and Social Systems Management of Southern Federal University in Taganrog in the framework of the Global Entrepreneurship Week. The discussion was co-organized by Economic Development Department of Taganrog Local Government.
The event brought together the chairman of
Taganrog Interregional Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alexander Amerkhanov, the executive director of Taganrog Foundation for the Support of Small Enterprises Mikhail Kulikov, representative of the company Fabrika Olga Yevtushenko, members of the Taganrog Youth Entrepreneurship Council, and students of Southern Federal University. Deputy Director for Social, International, Career Guidance Work of the College of Economic, Environmental and Social Systems Management Yelena Zashchitina served as the moderator of the discussion.
During the meeting, Head of Economic Development Department of Taganrog Local Government Natalia Krutogolovina made a report on the small and medium-sized businesses in Taganrog and the support measures provided for entrepreneurs. For his part, Alexander Amerkhanov told about the importance of developing entrepreneurship in order to maintain social and economic security both in the world as a whole and in each country individually. Olga Yevtushenko introduced the students to the activities of Fabrika and shared her experience in employing foreign citizens.
The international students of Southern Federal University spoke about the specifics of doing business in their countries: China (Lo Rongrong), Ghana (Pascal Hemans), Nigeria (Peter Osayemore Eromosele), Rwanda (Anatole Dusengumuremyi), and Pakistan (Muhammad Bilal).
Foreign Relations Office of Taganrog Local Government took direct part in preparations for the roundtable discussion by translating some of the informational and analytical materials into English. During the event, Chief Specialist of Foreign Relations Office Dmitry Koulitchev acted as one of the translators and interacted a lot with the foreign students.
Following the lively discussion, it was decided to continue holding such events in which Russian and foreign representatives of small and medium-sized businesses are interested.
