	"Pier Five" Sailing Cup Held in Taganrog July 3, 2024: the "Pier Five" Sailing Cup was held in the water area of the yacht club "Pier Five" ("Pyaty Prichal") on June 28-30. Over 100 athletes from Donetsk People's Republic, Krasnodar Krai, Moscow, Rostov Oblast, Saint Petersburg, Volgograd, and Zaporozhye Oblast competed in the 420, the Laser 4.7, the Laser Radial, the Nacra 15, the Optimist, the Techno 293, and cruiser yacht categories. Winners in one of the categories © Sergey Plishenko The results of the cup showed the dominance of Taganrog: Timofey Frolov, Vadim Yevteev, Ivan Dubov, Sofiya Vasilyeva, Lev Lisovenko won races in their categories. The other winners are Zakhar Strizhakov (Azov); Andrey Deinega (Yeysk); Nikolay Kovalev, Denis Ponomarev, and Viktor Kopeliovich (Rostov-on-Don). The event was held in a positive atmosphere and got a lot of press. The yacht club "Pier 5" opened in 2021 with a regatta organized by Taganrog Sailing Federation and NGO "TERRA."
