3rd meeting of German and Russian students held in Taganrog

January 30, 2017: Economics and Law Faculty of the Taganrog Chekhov Teachers College held the 3rd meeting of German and Russian students. The traditional students' forum was held within the framework of study abroad exchange program between Lüdenscheid and Taganrog. Among participants were seven students of Adolf Reichwein Gesamtschule (Germany), Gorlovka Teachers College (Donetsk Peoples' Republic) and secondary school students from Taganrog who learn German language. The topic of the discussion, moderated by Mrs. Albina Ishchenko, German teacher of the school Nr. 6 was: "The success in life. The choice of the profession. Professional education in Germany and in Russia".

The meeting was opened by director of the Chekhov Teachers College Mr. Andrey Goloborodko and professor Mrs. Galina Polenova, who told the audience about the history of sister-city programs, established between Taganrog and German cities. Students of municipal schools no. 5, 6, 22, 24, 27 and 31 made their reports in German language. Their Lüdenscheid counterparts compared the educational systems of the two countries, told about their professional wishes and interests, and discussed about the opportunities, provided by higher education in Germany and Russia. Lüdenscheid's Adolf Reichwein Gesamtschule's director of learning support Mr. Markus Ignatzek summarized the discussion and wished to the children success in their future careers.

At the end of the conference, its participants resolved to continue educational exchanges between the two sisiter cities. A delegation of Taganrog Chekhov Teachers College will be visiting Lüdenscheid in August 2017.
