October 25, 2014: One of the six matches of the third round of 2014 Women's ETTU Cup was held in Taganrog. Players representing the team TMG Tagmet, sponsored by
TAGMET plant secured their quarterfinal place, beating the team Balaguert Villart Logistic from Balaguert, Spain.
Russia's TMK Tagmet (coached by Sergey Belovol) needed full five matches to defeat CTT Balaguert Villart Logistic. WANG Tingting was in very good shape, but the host club had more than one player to secure the victory. Olga BARANOVA and Anna BLAZHKO beat LI Yanlan, whilst Valentina SABITOVA succeeded against Anna BISCARRI. The final result 3:2 sent the team from Taganrog into the quarterfinals of European Table Tennis Union's Cup to the delight of local supporters. Among the guests of the match were Mayor of Taganrog Vladimir Prasolov, Minister for Sports of Rostov Oblast Mr. Balakhnin, Deputy Health Minister of Rostov Oblast Mr. Besedovsky.
