COVID-19 City of Taganrog's Mitigation And Response #37

February 5, 2021: Taganrog City Manager Andrey Lisitsky met the press to presented his report on the ongoing situation in Taganrog and anti-COVID measures.

City-owned premises have been monitored by five mobile teams since October, 2020. Public transport, taxi, and public places are being checked to ensure that all the citizens wear face masks. There were 313 COVID-19 cases registered in January, and this number is 17.5 % lower than in December.

"Taganrog Local Government takes all measures to prevent the increase in COVID-19 cases", stressed Andrey Lisitsky.

As of February 5, 65530 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Rostov Oblast region, and 55423 persons have already recovered.

It should be reminded that mass vaccination against COVID-19 in Rostov Oblast was announced on January 18. In the near future it is planned to vaccinate two million Rostov Oblast residents (about 60%). 15,700 residents have been vaccinated as of February 1, 2021. Additional 10,800 doses of Sputnik V, also known as Gam-COVID-Vac, were delivered to region on February 3.
