July 15, 2022: the 2022 Russian National Archery Championship was held in the city of Yekaterinburg on July 8-13. Over 300 athletes from 32 regions of Russia competed in such disciplines as recurve bow and compound bow (distances of 50, 70, and 90 metres). Among the participants were eminent archers, winners of European and world tournaments, and even Olympic medallists.
Representatives of Taganrog, Yelena Osipova and Igor Grigorenko, won their silver medals in the mixed recurve archery event.
We congratulate Yelena Osipova, Igor Grigorenko, and their coach Lola Valikhodjaeva and wish them continued success.
Earlier Yelena Osipova won
two silver medals at the 2021 Hyundai Archery World Cup Final in Yankton, USA. In 2020 the athlete
claimed her first silver medal at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo as a member of the ROC women's national archery team and
her second silver medal in women's individual archery event. She was among the athletes to receive the state award - the
Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the first class.
