October 30, 2009 within the framework of the signed sister-city agreement between Taganrog and Pinsk (Brest Oblast, Republic of Belarus) a trade delegation from Pinsk and Brest region visited the city of Taganrog.
The meeting between the representatives of business communities of the two cities was held at the conference hall of the Taganrog Interregional Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It was attended by representatives of 13 Russian companies and 10 Byelorussian businesses. The main goal of the event was to strengthen the economic and cooperation ties between the regions, the search for partners, and extension of business ties.
Vice-Mayor Yuri Lakaev gave a warm welcome to Byelorussian guests on behalf of the Taganrog Local Government, and the President of the
TICCI Alexander Amerkhanov and Director of the Pinsk Office of the Byelorussian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Brest Branch) signed a cooperation agreement between the chambers of commerce.
