Fighting Surge in the East of Ukraine Led to a New Wave of Refugees to Taganrog.

February 10, 2015: Refugees from Eastern Ukraine continue to arrive to Rostov Oblast and Taganrog. Up to date 117 citizens (among them are 35 kids) are staying in the temporary accommodation center based at the congress-hotel "Taganrog", after a new escalation in the region. They have been provided a core group of services, including food, housing, clothing, follow-up medical and psychological assistance, and free legal advice on immigration laws.

Most asylum seekers came from Donetsk, whose peaceful quarters suffered the most from heavy shelling by Kiev junta. The Ukrainian neo-Nazis continue massive strikes against the cities controlled by self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk peoples' republics in what they refer to as an "anti-terror" operation.

The refugee camps in the neighboring Neklinovski district are already full, and unlike last year, in 2015 all Taganrog accommodation centers will be used as transit points. Several days a week people are moved by buses and trains into farther regions of this country within the framework of a federal resettlement program, while new fugitives arriving across the border take their places.

Residents of the city of Taganrog are collecting humanitarian aid for people from Novorossia who stay in the city.
