September 9-11, 2011: Official delegation of the sister city of Khartsyzsk, led by Mayor Valery Dubovoy, Ukraine, visited Taganrog to participate in celebrations of the 313th Taganrog City Foundation Day.

During the visit the delegation members from Khartsyzsk visited the main Russian Orthodox church of the city, the Saint-Nicholas-Church, the kelya of the Blessed Starets Saint Pavel of Taganrog and the Literature museum "Chekhov Gymnasium" dedicated to the great Russian dramatist and writer Anton Chekhov. Mayor of Khartsyzsk, Valery Dubovoy also met with Mayor of Taganrog Nikolay Fedyanin and the archpriest of Taganrog Alexander Klyunkov to discuss further cooperation between the partner cities.
