July 10, 2011: Don Cossacks of the Taganrog District were invited by Ataman General Boris Berkovich to participate in festivities dedicated to 10th anniversary of the Great Circle in the sister city of Khartsyzsk in the Ukraine.
The cossacks from Taganrog walked in cross procession across the city of
Khartsyzsk and to lay flowers to the monument in honor of Soviet soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War. Ataman Colonel of Taganrog District Alexander Shepelenko participated in the flower-laying ceremony and transmitted a letter of greeting signed by Ataman of Don Cossacks General Victor Vodolatsky.
