Taganrog athlete Maxim Spesivtsev wins world canoe bronze

August 24, 2019: canoeist Maxim Spesivtsev - a Taganrog Olympic Reserve Youth School num.3 trainee, claimed bronze in the men's canoe sprint at 2019 ICF Canoe Sprint & Paracanoe World Championships held in Szeged, Hungary.

At men's K-1 500 metres, which took place at the Olympic Center of Szeged, Taganrog athlete was third, only fractions of a second behind Tom Liebscher (Germany) and Mikita Borykau (Belarus).

The 25-years old canoeist has won prizes at numerous European and world championships and competitions, including 2016 ICF Junior & Under 23 Canoe Sprint World Championships and 2013 U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships in Welland, Canada.

Maxim Spesivtsev is a trainee of Children's and Youth Sports School Number 3 of Olympic Reserve and Merited Master of Sport of the USSR Mr. Anatoly Tishenko - head coach of the Youth Team of Russia.
