September 9, 2021: athletes from 60 countries came to compete at 2021 ICF Junior & Under 23 Canoe Sprint World Championships in Montemor-o-Velho, Portugal. The competitions finished this Monday, on September 6.


In total, Russian national team have won 22 medals (9 gold, 4 silver, and 9 bronze ones), ranking 2nd in the overall medal table. The team's success once again showed their high level.

Taganrog's Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 3 was represented at the U-23 competitions by Olesya Kozeeva (born in 2005, coached by Oleg Kozeev). She won bronze in Women's K1 U23 500, repeating her earlier achievement - the bronze at 2021 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships In Poznan, Poland in June 2021.
