Russian-German exhibition of children's drawings held in Gütersloh.

June 3, 2014: Director of Taganrog Art School Svetlana Samsonova arranged in Gütersloh, Germany an exhibition at Palmenhaus-Café. About 100 paintings of young artists from art schools of Gütersloh "Artige Kinder" and Taganrog were showcased.

One of the paintings is entitled "The Journey of Friendship" and it may express the point of the exhibition named "Let the Sun Aways Be". The painting represents the air balloon with the word "Peace" in Russian and German languages in the sky with children.

Almuth Wessel, the new member of Left Party Board, believes that these paintings make people smile: "I see them and my heart fills with joy". In vice-mayor of Gütersloh, Matthias Trepper's point of view the kid's art has a powerful impact on the viewers. The exhibition is open until the end of June. Everybody may attend master classes given by Svetlana Samsonova to German schoolchildren.

The contact between German and Russian art schools was established a few years ago by Franz Kiesl, the First Chairman of Forum Russische Kultur Gütersloh. For 50 years he had been afraid of Russians, "because I did not know them" said Kiesl at the opening of exhibition. Since then he got to know Russians, and learned to understand them. "Russians like Germans" concludes Kiesle after numerous trips to Russia. He is confident that the promotion of gifted people is identically important for both countries. Paying attention to the high-level politics Kiesl expresses the opinion that the citizens of both countries have to come to agreement, "and the politicians will see how they must behave themselves".

Svetlana Samsonova was happy to have an opportunity of arranging the fourth consecutive exhibition. She was assisted by Franz Kiesl and Matthias Trepper during the diplomas awarding to art school graduates.
