The 2nd edition of French Cinema Mini Festival held in Taganrog

April 17, 2017: The second edition of the Francophone Cinema Mini Festival was held in Taganrog April 14-15, 2017. Taganrog Chekhov Public Library was selected venue for the screenings. The event was co-hosted by regional branch of Alliance Franšaise, Taganrog Arts & Culture Council, Taganrog Chekhov Teachers College (part of Rostov State University of Economics) and Taganrog Municipal Government.

The opening ceremony was held on April 14, 2017 in the historical building of Taganrog Chekhov Public Library, bringing together representatives of the local government, general public, educational establishments and cultural institutions. Vivien Fouquet, director of Alliance Franšaise in Rostov-on-Don and Andrey Goloborodko, director of Taganrog Chekhov Teachers College took this opportunity to present Yana Bondar and Anastasia Dygai with grant certificates: both college students are winners of "The Russian Teaching Assistant in France" competitive program. Yana and Anastasia will spend the 2017-2018 school year in France - in the cities of Lille and Lyon to assist in teaching Russian as foreign language.

The French cinema mini festival's program featured 3 film screenings: comedy drama film "Lulu in the Nude" (director Solveig Anspach, Iceland), a selection of clips from prize-winning animated movies "The Best Of", and an art house comedy drama "2 Autumns, 3 Winters" by Sebastien Betbeder.
