Inclusive Festival for Children "Football Is a School of Life" Held in Taganrog

May 31, 2024: the interregional inclusive festival for children "Football Is a School of Life" was held at the indoor arena of the Taganrog children's football school "Avangard" on May 30, on the eve of International Children's Day. Lying within the framework of the federal project "Football Is a School of Life," the festival is a part of the annual all-Russian charity action "Under the Flag of Kindness!"

This year's edition of "Football Is a School of Life" brought together the festival's organizer and the manager of the charity fund Natalya Davydova, Rostov Oblast Deputy Minister of Sports Alexander Tyurin, Taganrog City Manager Andrey Fateyev. Some well-known former and active athletes, such as ex-footballers Dmitry Sennikov and Dmitry Gradilenko, ex-futsal player Konstantin Mayevsky, freestyle footballer Dmitry Bogachyov took part in the festival along with musician Mikhail Grebenshchikov.

Over 300 children from the schools and football teams of Taganrog participated in "Football Is a School of Life."

Apart from a traditional friendly football match, the guests of the festival conducted several master classes for the kids. The program also featured an art workshop session held by Senilga Barteneva, director of Independent Non-Profit Organisation "Luch Nadezhdy" ("Ray of Hope").

During the closing ceremony, all the children involved had received prizes and souvenirs.

The charity foundation "Under the Flag of Kindness!" was established by prominent political and public figures with the purpose of targeted financial aid to children in need of expensive treatment. National charity actions are held under patronage of the Russian Ministry of Health and are supported by the Russian Ministry of Science and Education, Russian Ministry of Sports and regional governments.
