July 16, 2024: the Russian Archery Cup takes place on July 12-17 in the city of Novosibirsk. The competition brought together over 250 athletes from 28 regions of Russia.
Yelena Osipova from Taganrog beat Valeria Tsyrendorjiyeva (Zabaykalsky Krai) 6-5 (9-7) in the final of women's individual recurve bow event. Moreover, together with her teammate Igor Grigorenko she won silver in the mixed event.
"The medal result is quite good. But I still have to work more and more on my own results, I know I can do better," wrote Yelena Osipova on her VKontakte page.
Throughout her distinguished career, Yelena Osipova has been on track for a great number of medals and other major achievements. Among the most important, she won
a silver medal at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo as a member of the ROC women's national archery team and another
silver medal in women's individual archery event. She was among the athletes to receive the state award - the
Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the first class.
