July 7, 2025: the international archery tournament "Grand Prix Astana" took place on June 22-28 in the city of Astana, Kazakhstan. The competition brought together over 110 athletes from Mexico, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Switzerland, Tajikistan, the USA, and Uzbekistan.
Yelena Osipova from Taganrog won bronze in the team event and silver in women's individual recurve bow.
"The competition went well. The weather was unpredictable, to say the least. Astana greeted us with a pleasant summer coolness, heat and freezing rain with a terrible wind. In general, I was able to test my professional level in all conditions. I shot relatively well although hit only a few ten rings. I continue to work on improving my personal results," wrote Yelena Osipova on her VKontakte page.
Throughout her distinguished career, Yelena Osipova has been on track for a great number of medals and other major achievements. Among the most important, she won
a silver medal at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo as a member of the ROC women's national archery team and another
silver medal in women's individual archery event. She was among the athletes to receive the state award - the
Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the first class.
