September 10, 2018: representatives of the Kingdom of Eswatini (Swaziland) paid a visit to Taganrog.

The delegation was led by the Acting commissioner of the Kingdom's Ministry of Natural Resources & Energy Robert Mendo Biela and included HRH Prince Themba Arnold Dlamini, as well as other officials and representatives of MCL (Maloma Colliery Limited).

The guests from Swaziland visited the war memorial at Sambek Heights and the main cultural attractions of Taganrog's downtown area, including Peter the Great's monument, stela of Military Glory, and Anton Chekhov memorial sites: The Memorial Museum "Birth House of Anton Chekhov" and the Museum of Literature "Chekhov Gymnasium".

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on November 19, 1999.
