November 2, 2014: delegation headed by deputy mayors of Kharsyzsk (Donetsk Peoples' Republic) Yulia Sulim and Vasily Tkachuk came for a two-day visit to Taganrog on October 28, 2014. The visitors from the partner city participated in a meeting at the mayor's office and went sightseeing downtown Taganrog.

The meeting was very useful in terms of experience sharing: one of the projects that Khartsyzsk is planning to adopt and put into practice is the "Single Window" e-government program, successfully developed in Taganrog.


The two sides discussed the opportunities for cooperation in social affairs. Mayor of Taganrog Vladimir Prasolov told about plans to organize a New Year tour to Taganrog for kids from Khartsyzsk and Novorossia. The first load of textbooks and office supplies was shipped for the schools of Khartsyzsk.

According to Yulia Sulim, Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs, "it was a good surprise for members of Khartsyzsk delegation to receive such a warm welcome from the citizens and Taganrog local government. We acquired experience so necessary in municipal governance, and the trip was very important for the future of our "newborn" state."
