Beriev Aircraft Company at MAKS-2017
Air Show



July 30, 2017: The 13th International Aviation and Space Show MAKS-2017 was traditionally held near Moscow, Russia on Zhukovskiy air field on July 18-23, 2017.

Beriev Aircraft Corp. participated in MAKS-2017 as part of the United Aircraft Corporation. Beriev's booth represented information on current and prospective projects of the Company including Be-200 and Be-103 amphibians and their modifications. The static display featured a Be-200ES amphibian aircraft (a/c number RF-31120) assembled in Taganrog for the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. An AEW aircraft Beriev A-50 "Taganrog" operated by the Russian Aerospace Force designed and subsequently modernized by Taganrog engineers was also presented at the air show.


The MAKS-2017 was a successful show for Beriev Aircraft Corp. The company's representatives conducted a number of negotiations and meetings with private and state enterprises and government institutions from South-Eastern Asia, Middle East and Latin America. Eventual buyers from the United States of America and and Peoples' Republic of China showed interest in BE-200's performance in firefighting operations.

Within the framework of the International Aviation and Space Salon in Moscow, the company signed a new deal with Kazakhstan Aircraft Plant for engineering order and detailed design of the airliner Beriev Be-132 with passenger arrangements for 26 people. The specialists are working on a roadmap to launch the Be-132 mass production in the city of Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan.
