November 30, 2012: during the 9th International Airshow China 2012 in Zhuhai,
Beriev Aircraft Corp. held negotiations with SWAN AIRLINES (China) on promotion of the Be-103 light amphibian in the Peoples' Republic of China.
SWAN AIRLINES intends, with Russian assistance, to arrange, in 2013-2014, licensed production of Be-103 planes in China, to establish certified centers to insure aircraft maintenance and the training of flight/maintenance personnel for the Be-103 amphibians, and to build modern seadromes.

SWAN AIRLINES already has a fleet of two Be-103s. In September 2012, Chinese pilots and technical specialists completed a course of training at Beriev Aircraft Company Hydro-Aviation Training Center. The Chinese air carrier plans to sign a contract for delivery of 13 next Be-103 amphibians in the near future.
In December 2005, the Be-103 amphibious aircraft was awarded Type Certificate No.VTC173A by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) .
