Results of negotiations at the Airshow China 2012 in Zhuhai, China

November 30, 2012: On November 13, 2012, within the framework of the 9th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition "Airshow China 2012" in Zhuhai, China, the delegation of Beriev Aircraft Corp. headed by Viktor A. Kobzev, Director General - General Designer and representatives of Chinese Authorities met to discuss the application and sales of Be-200 amphibian aircraft.

According to Chinese representatives, P.R.C. is considering the possibility of modernizing the existing firefighting aviation fleet as well as the possibility of experimental operation of Be-200 amphibian aircraft in the People's Republic of China in 2013 to make decisions regarding further cooperation plans based on showed performance.

Beriev's Be-200 amphibian aircraft features the most multipurpose design-and-aerodynamic configuration, and an extensive modernization potential. The amphibian aircraft received certificates issued by IAC AR that allow using the aircraft in Russia not only in firefighting, but also in passenger and cargo operations.

In May 2011, the state contract was signed with the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters (EMERCOM of Russia) for the delivery of 6 more Be-200ES amphibian aircraft of Taganrog production within 2013 - 2014. The first Taganrog-produced amphibian Be-200ES will be assembled in 2013.

Except for deliveries of Be-200 amphibian aircraft to the EMERCOM of Russia, a contract for the delivery of eight Be-200 amphibian aircraft for the Ministry of Defense of Russia is being negotiated. Another potential customer for amphibian aircraft is the Federal Agency for Forestry Protection of Russia, Avialesookhrana.
