September 2, 2019: a delegation of Azerbaijan Republican Committee for War, Military and Police Veterans visited Taganrog to commemorate the 76th Taganrog Liberation Day on August 30, 2019. Earlier in May 2012 Alfaim Aziz oglu Ismailov, Senior Secretary of this organization visited the city to participate in Victory-Day celebrations.

The new delegation from Baku was headed by retired Colonel Samir Musayev - head of the foreign relations department at the veterans' organization. Azerbaijani guests participated in all official commemorative events on August 30 and flower laying ceremony at the Sambek Heights Great Patriotic War monument and Taganrog stela of Military Glory, visited Chekhov sites, Taganrog Military History Museum and the museum of the 416th Rifle Division in Taganrog municipal school no. 26.

Within the framework of the visit to Taganrog, Mr. Musayev and Mr. Ismaylov met with representatives of Taganrog Local Government, leaders of veteran organizations of Taganrog, representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora, Cossack organizations and military-patriotic education societies.

Visits of CBC TV-channel from Baku and Moscow-based Center of Azerbaijani Culture are scheduled for the last quarter of 2019.
