The Two Months of Environmental Safety and Nature Protection Events started in Taganrog on March 22, 2005.

March 25, 2005 - The Two Months of Environmental Safety and Nature Protection Events kicked off in the city of Taganrog on World Water Day - March 22, 2005 and will be held until June 6, 2005. The nature-conservance measures are aimed to unite the efforts of all Taganrog citizens, students, staff of Taganrog-based companies and organizations in the protection of natural environment.

The steering committee, headed by Mr. Sergey Revko, Deputy Mayor for municipal services, has published the established program of environmental safety measures, that include the environmental education lessons and ecology readings at schools, student scientific conferences, contests among public school libraries, contest of school landscapes, planting of trees, subbotniks, publication of a brochure on the environmental situation in the city of Taganrog, and many more.
