July 26, 2021: the Russian women's national archery team (Svetlana Gomboeva, Yelena Osipova, Ksenia Perova) won silver medals at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Team member Yelena Osipova is an athlete from Taganrog.
The ROC team lost to the South Korean team 0-6 in the final. Before that, Russians defeated Ukrainians (6-2), team USA (6-0), and Germans (5-1).
It is noteworthy that South Korean national women's team were gold medals at 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Meanwhile, silver medals are for the first time for Team Russia. The two silver medals in a row confirm the status of the Russian women's national archery team as the second strongest team in the world.

won a silver medal at the third event of the Archery World Cup in Paris to clinch a spot on the Russian national team at Summer Olympics.
