June 11, 2025: a number of events dedicated to the birthday of Peter the Great (June 9) and the upcoming national holiday Russia Day (June 12) was held in the city of Taganrog. Representatives of Taganrog City Council, Taganrog Local Government, Rostov Oblast Legislative Assembly, NGOs and other organizations took part in a meeting dedicated to the upcoming Russia Day (June 12) and the birthday of Peter the Great. The event was held in front of Peter the Great Monument in Peter's Square.


At the same location, a passport-giving ceremony took place. City Executive Svetlana Kambulova presented the internal Russian passports to their 14-years-old owners from the city of Taganrog.

"Let every step lead you to new heights and help realize your rich potential for the benefit of Taganrog, Rostov Oblast and the whole Russia," said Svetlana Kambulova.

In conclusion of the meeting, participants of the rally laid flowers to Peter the Great Monument.
