Performance of Taganrog athletes at World Trampoline Championships 2010 in Metz, France


November 27, 2010: November 8-19, 2010 - in Metz, France was held the 2010 World Trampoline Championships and 20th Trampoline World Age Competitions, where Taganrogers coached by Alexander and Natalya Shevchenko, Alyona Dombrovskaya and Sergey Zaitchenko were part of the Team Russia.

Russia was second only to China in the overall medal table with two gold, one silver and three bronze medals. The Chinese national team took three gold and three silver medals.

The Synchro jumps by women were won by Irina Karavaeva from Krasnodar and Victoria Voronina from Taganrog. The Russians were 0.7 points ahead of the competitors from Germany, and bronze medals were taken by Belarus.

At the 20th Trampoline World Age Competitions, Oleg Selyutin (12 years old) won gold medals in both Synchro jumps Boys 11-12 and Trampoline Boys 11-12 categories. Ksenia Naumenko (12 years old) won the gold medal in category double mini-trampoline girls 11-12 and the bronze in Synchro jumps Girls 13-14. Ekaterina Zhigalova (15 years old) won the bronze medal in double mini-trampoline girls 15-16, and Lilya Klimova (13 years old) won the bronze medal in Synchro Jumps Girls 13-14.
