August 18-23, 2009: Beriev Aircraft Corp. participated in the International Aviation and Space salon MAKS-2009 held in Zhukovsky. During the exhibition, Beriev Aircraft Company and Irkut Corporation were presented in joint exhibition booths as part of the exposition of the Joint Stock Company «United Aircraft Corporation» (UAC) in F1 and F2 halls. Static display included Be-200ES amphibian aircraft and A-50 AWACS aircraft operated by Russian Air Force.

Multipurpose amphibian aircraft Be-200ES (RF-32767, Vasily Rakov), operated by Russian Federation Ministry of Emergencies, was shown in the static display area and participated in the demonstration flight program. Be-200ES amphibian aircraft opened demonstration flight show by displaying its special flight to MAKS guests which included dropping water tricolored as a Russian flag. Amphibian aircraft Be-200ES was piloted by V.A. Cruze's crew.

Beriev Aircraft Company's booths presented information related to current and potential projects of the company including multipurpose amphibian aircraft Be-200 (and its modifications), light multipurpose amphibian aircraft Be-103, promising amphibian aircraft Be-101, Be-112, regional aircraft Be-32KMD as well as amphibian aircraft A-42PE and AEW aircraft A-50E.


During MAKS-2009, a press conference was held on 19 August with the participation of Beriev Aircraft Company and Irkut Corporation. During the conference O.F. Demchenko, President of Irkut Corporation, and Victor Kobzev, Director General - General Designer of Beriev Aircraft Company, spoke about current and future projects of hydroaviation.

During the exhibition, the specialists of Beriev Aircraft Company conducted a series of business meetings with representatives of a number of companies and firms who confirmed the availability of good export prospects for aviation equipment developed by Beriev Aircraft Company.

During MAKS-2009, the efforts were made to attract participants to the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference on Hydroaviation Gidroaviasalon-2010 which will be conducted from 9 till 12 September, 2010. A number of foreign and Russian companies and organizations showed interest in participation in Gidroaviasalon. The agreement was signed on cooperation with the German exhibition association BDLI and Messe Berlin GmbH with preliminary agreements reached for the arrangement of the German hall at Gidroaviasalon and involvement of German Air Force in the participation in the exhibition. Negotiations were conducted with both well known aviation companies and small firms working in the field of general purpose aviation.
