August 12, 2008: Taganroger Arkady Vyatchanin won a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing in the 100m backstroke. He shared the third place with Australian swimmer Hayden Stoeckel. Both athletes showed the result of 53.18 seconds.
