Krasny Kotelshchik to deliver equipment to Belarus and Kazakhstan

July 13, 2017: The Krasny Kotelshchik boiler factory, a member of Power Machines group of companies and "EnergoMashinostroitelny Alliance" (PJSC "EMAlliance") has been participating in new international projects.

Within the framework of the facility renovation project, the plant will deliver three PVD-375 high-pressure heaters and a fast-acting protection device for Grodno Cogeneration Plant No. 2 in the Republic of Belarus. These units will provide the heating of feedwater before it is supplied into the boiler.

"PVD-375 high pressure heaters are standard products of Krasny Kotelshchik, whose quality has been tested by time," states Alexander Pechenigovsky, head of the company's regeneration equipment department. "Using high pressure heaters does not only increase the steam turbine unit efficiency by more than 4%, it also improves the effectiveness of the power unit operation as a whole".

The Taganrog-based plant has also completed the delivery of a drum complete with separation devices and expansion rollers for the Kazakhstan Aluminum company TPP (Pavlodar, the Republic of Kazakhstan), a member of the Eurasian Group (ERG).

This large-scale item was designed and manufactured within the framework of a program to revamp the boiler equipment installed at the power plant. It will replace the BKZ-42-0140 drum, manufactured and commissioned by Krasny Kotelshchik back in 1966, that has reached the end of its useful life at present. The plan is to put the new equipment into operation in 2018. The drum, being one of the principal components of a boiler, will ensure uniform distribution of feedwater and steam-water mixture separation into saturated steam and water. In addition to this, the power unit will have a reserve of circulating water needed for trouble-free operation of the boiler.
