Taganrog Automobile Assembly Plant TAGAZ started the industrial production of the new model Hyundai Elantra XD. This is the fifth model of Hyundai Company, South Korea, whose production was launched in Taganrog. The production of the new model is realized in the conditions of the industrial assembly as with the similarly produced automobiles at TagAZ.
The first cars went for sale into Doninvest's dealers network in late April. The Hyundai Elantra XD will be offered in the Russian market in 3 specifications with the "sedan"-body. All editions feature the forward control and the engine with 1,6-litre cubic capacity, with the options of 105 horse-power. The special edition would be fitted out with the 4-speed automatic transmission, the other – with the 5-speed mechanical transmission. The base edition has: the steering booster, the airbag for the driver and for the front passenger, the air-conditioner, the central lock, the electrical glass hoists, the warming of the front seats, the sound system (CD/MP3) and 4 speakers.
The MT2 edition features (including the options listed above): ABS, heated and power-adjustable rear-view mirrors, the front fog lights and the adjustment of the driver's lumbar region. The exterior of the automobile would be changed: the side-view mirrors, the door-handles and the bumper will be body-colored. The most expensive version AT3 would be fitted out with the 4-speed automatic transmission.
