March 24, 2007: The pilot production of Hyundai Santa Fe Classic has started at the Taganrog Automobile Assembly Plant TAGAZ
. This is the fourth model designed by the South-Korean Company Hyundai Motors. The Santa Fe will be assembled at the TagaZ factory in the same way as Accent, Sonata and Porter.
The first cars will be distributed through Doninvest's dealer network as early as in the late April 2007. Hyundai Santa Fe Classic will be offered in the Russian market in the price range 659,900 - 779,900 Russian roubles.
The basic model Hyundai Santa Fe Classic (MT1) will have a 2-liter diesel engine with 112HP and the forward control mechanical transmission. It will also feature the steering booster, airbags for the driver and the front seat passenger, ABS, air-conditioning, and many more.
The MT2 modification currently priced at 729,900 roubles will have additional front and rear decoration elements, full control transmission, climate control, fog lights and anti-theft system. Automatic transmission and leather interiors (AT3) would raise the price at 40,000 roubles.
Those who prefer the cars running on gasoline can choose the top version (AT4) currently priced at 779,000 roubles, and featuring a 2.7L 173hp V6 engine with automatic transmission.
