March 21, 2013: OST-EURO GmbH, a German company active in the field of consultancy for municipalities in Russia visited the city of Taganrog. The working visit was planned by GIZ (German Academy for International Cooperation), the "Council of Municipal Corporations of Rostov Oblast" Association, Rostov City Local Government and Taganrog Local Government within the framework of the project "Reform of Russian municipal enterprises" and was dedicated to waste management. The delegation was headed by Mr. Stefan Weissenbacher, export manager at Fritz Schäfer GmbH and Mr. Radu Cretan, regional manager for Rostov Oblast and Perm Krai and CEO of Global Trade GmbH.


The German experts visited the waste management facilities, dustbins, sorting facility, and landfill. A round table discussion and a meeting with the First Deputy Mayor Oleg Demenev were held at the Taganrog Local Government. The specialists of SSI Schäfer GmbH brought out their proposals as to how to start and develop the separate waste collection in Taganrog.
