Krasny Kotelshchik of the the "Power Machines" group of companies has continued its production modernization program by commissioning new equipment. It's meant to substantially increase the level of automation of process solutions across the entire plant, and to improve PC control from work layout to finished-product output. Automatic tool changeover, high speed of workpiece transfer, workpiece rotation within several axes make it possible to place greater focus on one production unit.
The commissioned equipment will fundamentally enhance the plant's engineering capabilities within the frameworks of such large-scale projects as Long Phu 1 thermal power plant in Vietnam, regional power plant GRES-2 in the island of Sakhalin, Russia and another power station in Topar, Kazakhstan.
Earlier in 2015 Power Machines and Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) entered into a construction contract for Long Phu-1 Thermal Power Plant with a total capacity of 1200 MW. The new Vietnamese TPP will help to reduce the hydro generation share in the nation's electric power system, thereby reducing power outage risk in dry season. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2019.
