September 28, 2022: plans for 2023 include cleaning of Bolshaya Cherepakha's river-bed in Oak Grove ("Dubki") and 1500 sq. ft. of improvement works in the central part of Pushkin Embankment.
Yesterday, September 27,
Chairwoman of the Federation Council visited the historic Oak Grove, established by Russian emperor Peter the Great to inspect the first phase of transformations. Almost a mile of pathway network, paving slabs and curbs have been laid. The area has new lanterns, benches, a playground and an entrance colonnade. The refurbished grove became a magnet for local residents. Valentina Matvienko, Rostov Oblast Governor Vasily Golubev and special guests planted 11 oaks in the main alley of "Dubki".
Fundamental transformations are expected in the central part of Pushkin Embankment, where new sports and playing areas are to be established.
"When all planned activities are finished, both the Oak Grove "Dubki" and Pushkin Embankment get a new look, while preserving their historical appearance. They will become truly comfortable and beautiful areas", noted Valentina Matvienko.
