oxana_kostina About 100 works of art tell about Platov and his time, illustrating the beauty of Don steppes and Cossack time-honoured traditions. Most artworks are contemporary but still engross visitors' attention. For example, artist Anatoly Kovalev made a number of his lithographs on the history of the Don Cossacks. The series of paintings entitled "People of the Don" by Vladimir Kuprianov portrays Cossacks' warlike attitude and chivalry. On the contrary, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Gavrilyachenko shows the peaceful life in Cossack lands.
