May 7, 2025: the Russian Finswimming Championship was held in the city of Novosibirsk. Over 290 athletes from 24 regions competed in such techniques as surface finswimming, apnoea finswimming, immersion finswimming with breathing apparatus, and bi-fins.

At the championship, trainee of Taganrog Olympic Reserve School No.13
Ksenia Saprykina celebrated outstanding achievement by surpassing the current junior world and senior European records in the women's 400 meters immersion finswimming. Unfortunately, the World Underwater Federation does not officially recognize the 2025 Russian Finswimming Championship because of the absence of anti-doping measures of control. Still, Ksenia Saprykina's success is one worthy of respect and attention.
We congratulate Ksenia Saprykina and her coach Igor Saprykin for the excellent achievements.
