March 29, 2023: an exhibition of children's artworks from India opened at Gorky Children's Library on March 28. Fifteen drawings by students of the school "Anjney Art" from the city of Bhavnagar, Gujarat, have been put on display. The authors are children aged from 7 to 15.


Library visitors will be able to learn more about the history, traditions, customs, rich culture of India, and in particular about the ancient Indian epic poems "Ramayana" and "Mahabharata" - not only by looking at the drawings, but also by skimming through the books that are presented in the exhibition as well.

India is among the 60 countries that took part in the previous editions of International Children's Art Contest "Anton Chekhov and Characters of His Works".
