November 21, 2022: Rostov Oblast Governor Vasily Golubev visited Taganrog within the framework of a working trip to the city. The purpose was to inspect the new "Ice Arena".


The "Ice Arena" is composed of three floors. There are an ice hockey rink respecting the International Ice Hockey Federation specifications (60 by 30 metres); four training halls, including one for people with reduced capabilities; staff rooms; stadium stands for up to 1,000 spectators.


The indoor ice rink will be available for training, sports competitions, entertainment and mass sport events. The Ice Arena meets the requirements for 19 disciplines including ice hockey and curling.

"The aim is to make the ice rink available for trainings in January 2023", Vasily Golubev said. The governor expressed confidence that Taganrog residents were looking forward to this event.
