Rostov Oblast Governor Visited the City to Monitor the Modernization of Its Streetcar System

July 14, 2021: Rostov Oblast Governor Vasily Golubev visited Taganrog within the framework of a working trip to the city on July 13.

Governor debriefed local officials on the modernization of Taganrog streetcar system and inspected the tramway section on Lenin Street (more than 3.3 km / 2 mi), where new rails are being laid. Dismantling of old rails of two other sections on Frunze Street and between Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg Streets is nearing its completion. Vasily Golubev emphasized the necessity to establish new tram stops. As requested by residents of Taganrog, the stops should be provided with displays showing arrival time.
