May 28-29, 2011: a delegation of the Taganrog Local Government and
Taganrog Interregional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TICCI) headed by Mayor Nikolay Fedyanin participated in the IBSC Board Meeting held within the framework of the
International Black Sea Club in Galati, Romania.
The President of
IBSC, Mayor of Kavala Konstantinos Simitsis presided the IBSC Board Meetings on May 28 and May 29, 2011. The participants tackled the issues of future development of the Club, its interaction with other international organizations, admission of new member cities from Turkey, Moldova and Romania.
The IBSC Board voted for establishment of two working groups for participation in the European program "Black Sea" - Group 1 consisting of Galati, Kavala and Nikolaev - to work on project proposal "Non-conventional energy systems - Ecology", the group leader is Kavala; Group 2 consisting of Kherson, Odessa and Varna to work on project proposal "Navigation", the group's leader is Varna. The meeting of the working groups will be held in Varna at the end of June 2011. The new IBSC President will be elected at the next 22nd IBSC Assembly, which will be held in the city of Azov in October 2011.
