May 16, 2023: according to the press office of Rostov Oblast Government, the construction of the floating pier for cruise ships has been completed in Taganrog seaport. The pier's construction started in August 2022, shortly before the visit of a high-ranking delegation led by Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.

In order to perform the task, dredge works have been carried out in the water area of Taganrog seaport. The floating pier consists of eight interconnected sections (12 m / 39.4 ft each). The total length of the construction is 96 m (315 ft), width - 16 m (52.5 ft), height - 2 m (6.6 ft). After all dredging operations are made, Taganrog harbor will be able to admit 140 meter vessels.

As of this year, four vessel calls have already been planned.
